Minimoo2 Gallery
Written by AdministratorMinimoo2 is a completely rewritten version of our previous image slider - Mini Moo Gallery. Minimoo2 uses Jquery and a much smarter way to load images into the gallery which make creating a sliding image gallery almost effortless. Minimoo2 uses jQuery in no conflict mode so it should work with any other script. MiniMoo2 is available for download for all of our template club members.
You can see the Minimoo2 joomla gallery in action in the right sidebar. The images in the demonstration are from the collection of Len Metcalfe.
Minimoo2 features include:
- Minimoo2 uses jQuery in no conflict mode
- Load unlimited images into the module automatically from a folder on your webserver
- Smart Image resizer from Shifting Pixel resizes one image to create thumbnail and main images.
- Easy setting of cropping ratio to crop images to fit desire width or height.
- Your choice of prettyPhoto and Thickbox, open in new window, open in same window as options to display the original image when the image is clicked.
- Belated PNGFix built in for prettyPhoto.
- 31 transitions using the jQuery easing script.
Setup:

- Select whether you would like to include all of the scripts necessary to run minimoo2. Set this option to yes unless you have removed the references to the javascript and css and referenced it via the index.php file in your template.
- Include jQuery if your template doesnt already include jQuery. An easy way to test this is to view the source of your website and do a search for the work jquery.
- Include Css if you havent moved the references to the scripts or moved the contents of the minimoo2.css file to your template_css.css file.
Folder and basic module setup
- Select the directory for your images. This is the relative path on your web server.
- Select the subfolder path only if your site is placed in a subfolder on your site. eg if your site url is www.example.com/joomla then you need to place joomla/ in this field. If your site is in a subdomain then there is no need to enter a value here.
- Width of the module corresponds to the overall width of the module.
- Height of the module corresponds to the overall height of the sliding area.
Lightbox, link action and transitions:

JB Slideshow v3.0
Written by AdministratorThe JB Slideshow3 is a significant update to our previous Slideshow2. We have effectively rewritten the code and cut it in half making it a very slick, lightweight content fading, sliding, scrolling module for Joomla. We've added quite a few features to the slideshow and its implementation is slightly different also so if you are used to using JB Slideshow be sure to check the instructions below because they have changed.
You can see the slideshow in action above in the strip displaying in a newsticker format.
The slideshow is very versatile and can operate as a simple ticker or as a full scale slideshow with images and navigation. See the Sketch and Elevate Templates for more examples.
Naming your images.
The first difference that you'll find is the naming convention for the images.
In the JB Slideshow2 images are given image names that following a numbering system as follows: header.jpg, header2.jpg, header3.jpg and so on.
Whereas the JB Slideshow3 selects the names to display according to the name of the content item you want it to appear with.
So on the demo site you can see the first content item that appears is titled "IyengarandHathaYoga.jpg" - notice how there are no spaces in the name of the image but the capitalisation is respected (Keeping the capitals as per your titles is important on most server setups).
Positioning of the Elements.
The slideshow is made up of three basic elements which include the slideshow image, the text and the navigation circles. The position and the dimensions of these elements are controlled in the module admin by using absolute positioning which means you have ultimate flexibility in creating your own layout for the content, image and navigation buttons.
The positions we have created on the demo site and that you see in the parameter screenshot below are just an example of how you might be able to set the module up.
Other Features
The slideshow also incorporates some great looking and unique animations as a way of making your text and images fade and slide across the screen. The animations available include:
- Fade
- Scroll Up
- Scroll Down
- Scroll Left
- Scroll Right
- Slide horizontally
- Slide Vertically
- Turn Up
- Turn Down
- Turn Left
- Turn Right
- Zoom
- Fade and Zoom
- Curtain Horizontally
- Curtain Vertically
Module Parameters
Here is a screenshot of the parameters available in the module as well as the settings required to replicate the display of the moduel on the front page.

Pretty Box Gallery
Written by AdministratorPrettyBox is an extremely flexible and effective module gallery for Joomla. It can display images from a folder you nominate in a module or in your content using the loadposition code for Joomla 1.5 or the mosloadposition for Joomla 1.0.
It combines the Smart Image resizer by Shifting Pixel and Pretty Photo.

Written by AdministratorThe Panel Menu is an accordion like menu effect that utilises the extended menu module and presnt your menu items in a sliding panel based menu. Its ideal for displaying a large number of links with a small footprint.
The setup for the accordion menu is pretty much the same as the superfish menu except for one key difference - instead of using the superfish/menu.html template the menu uses the accordion/menu.html template.
